The Esther’s Follies Foundation exists to support comedians, actors, and theater artists while investing in creative education for young people. Rooted in the legacy of Esther’s Follies on Historic Sixth Street, the Foundation helps ensure that Austin remains a city where humor, satire, and live performance continue to thrive.
For nearly five decades, Esther’s Follies has been a proving ground for performers and a beloved Austin institution. The Foundation builds on that history by creating pathways for emerging talent, expanding access to arts education, and preserving the spirit of live comedy and theatrical storytelling.

What We Do
We provide resources, workshops, and opportunities that help performers develop their craft, build confidence, and sustain creative careers. This includes comedy writing, improvisation, performance training, and mentorship from working professionals.
