Shannon Sedwick was raised in Fort Worth, but is a proud Austinite since attending UT in 1968. She co-founded Esther's Follies in 1977 with her partner Michael Shelton, while running Liberty Lunch, the Tavern, and Phillies' Diner. Esther's Follies is now in its 41st year and known nationwide for its political satire, topical sketch comedy and large scale magic illusions. Shannon produces, wrangles writers, and greets audience members all while starring in the show.
